Why I’m Blogging: A Story of Simplicity, Change & A Few Swear Words

Living in Low-Key Chaos

For years, I lived in a state of low-key chaos—too much stuff, too much scrolling, too much noise. My wardrobe became a battlefield of clothes that didn’t fit. Distractions swallowed my time, while my ADHD-riddled brain swung between over-researching life changes and taking no action at all. I wanted to do everything and ended up doing nothing. Sound familiar?

The Endless Search for Change

Hours disappeared into reading about productivity hacks, minimalism, and intentional living. Yet, despite all the knowledge, I remained stuck. Change felt overwhelming, and drastic overnight transformations never lasted. What I needed wasn’t a total reinvention, but small, sustainable shifts that improved my daily life.

Taking Small Steps Forward

Over the past 15 months, I committed to making small, deliberate changes. Instead of trying to overhaul everything at once, I focused on decluttering my home, refining my habits, and improving my health. Simplifying my wardrobe removed decision fatigue. Sticking to a healthy lunch routine freed up mental energy. Creating routines that actually worked for me made life smoother.

Minimalism became a tool, not a strict rulebook. Hygge (more on that later!) provided comfort, and prioritising what truly mattered brought clarity. These changes, although small, had a massive impact. Life felt lighter - not just physically (losing weight was part of this journey too), but mentally and emotionally.

What This Blog is About

Now, I want to share what I’ve learned. This isn’t about perfection, just progress. Through deep dives into productivity, life hacks and tips for living more intentionally and peacefully, ADHD and ASD-friendly living, book reviews, creative projects, and the occasional rant about modern life, I hope to help others take small steps toward a simpler, more intentional life.

Flipping the Script

Let’s be real, change is hard. We’re tired, distracted, and constantly bombarded with more, more, more. But what if we flipped the script? Instead of adding more, what if we focused on subtracting? What if less really did mean more?

As Epicurus once said:

“Not what we have, but what we enjoy, constitutes our abundance.”

Let’s create a life that feels abundant, without the clutter. And if that means the occasional swear word along the way, so be it.
